Job summary

Chem-Aqua, the water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, is seeking a Service Technician in Los Angeles. This field-based, hands-on role involves tower cleaning, coil cleaning, chemical cleaning and some pretreatment, with a remote work element and substantial travel.

You will diagnose water treatment equipment, perform preventative maintenance, run lab tests, report findings, and coordinate service calls.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in a field using mechanical principles.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Able to pass a drug and background check per company requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
• Able to perform physical work including lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics on water treatment equipment: RO systems, water softeners, and related systems.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance: inspection, cleaning, calibration of components.
• Assist in identifying additional service needs and develop customized solutions.
• Perform lab testing and sampling as required.
• Schedule service and sales calls, and accurately report service activity.
• Maintain customer chemical inventory and travel to assigned accounts.
