Job summary

Merjent, Inc. is seeking a motivated engineer/project manager focusing on water resources to manage plans, permits, and reports for energy-related projects across the U.S. The role requires knowledge of multistate stormwater regulations and regulatory processes. PE licensure and 8+ years in engineering are preferred.

This full-time, benefits-eligible role supports remote, in-office, or hybrid arrangements nationwide with a strong emphasis on collaboration and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience leading a team of junior engineers.
• Experience with energy clients preferred.
• Experience with hydro and dam projects a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS ESRI, and hydrology/hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Manage project teams with respect to engineering needs.
• Assist clients with design and analysis of water resources projects.
• Prepare design documents and technical reports for engineering services.
• Review documents to ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Lead proposals, quotes, and scopes for clients’ projects.
• Lead project meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Adhere to schedules and budgets.
