Job summary

Ladders seeks a Vice President, Trust Services to shape the strategic direction of a high-visibility trust services function supporting a sophisticated wealth management business. The role owns the service model, partner strategy, and operational framework for trust solutions delivered to clients and advisors.

This remote leadership position combines business ownership, client-facing expertise, and cross-functional partnership to drive revenue, service quality, and scalable execution.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of trust, estate, or private wealth services experience.
• Experience building or running a trust or fiduciary-related business.
• Familiarity with directed and delegated trust structures and multi-state trust considerations.
• Strong client-facing skills, particularly in meetings with advisors and estate attorneys.
• JD, CTFA, CFP, or CTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year strategy for Trust Services, including service scope and partner model.
• Own Trust Services revenue and budget, and report results to senior management.
• Lead the selection and management of independent trust companies serving as trustees.
• Evaluate partners based on trust powers, fee structures, and service levels.
• Serve as the trust subject matter expert for wealth management teams and clients.
• Define workflows and systems supporting Trust Services operations.
• Provide direction and support to the Trust Operations team.
