Job summary

Austin Financial Services, Inc., a division of Stearns Bank N.A., is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead all financial management and reporting. This hands-on role oversees month-end close, financial planning, controls, and risk management in a remote-capable environment.

The incumlent will partner with leadership to drive growth, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver clear financial insights to the Board. Strong accounting background and strategic vision are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in finance with increasing responsibility; asset-based lending or commercial finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills; QuickBooks and Solifi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Present financial results to leadership and the Board.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity; financing covenants.
• Coordinate audits and tax preparation.
• Oversee payroll and internal controls.
