Job summary

SiteZeus is seeking a hands-on VP of Engineering to lead a senior product engineering team focused on AI-first location intelligence. You will own technical direction, production quality, and the delivery engine behind our platform, while coaching engineers and partnering with the CEO to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.

This is a builder-leader role—no manager-of-managers—requiring close involvement with architecture, PRs, debugging, and occasional implementation.

Qualifications

10+ years building and operating software, with 4+ years leading engineers.
Proven production AI experience with LLM-powered features and deployment considerations.
Genuine AI-native fluency in coding agents and workflows.
Strong architectural and operational judgment for data-heavy SaaS systems.
Comfort reading .NET/C# back-end and TypeScript/Vue front-end in Azure.
Experience with geospatial data and maps is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define and own architecture and platform direction for scalable location intelligence.
Architect and operate LLM-backed AI capabilities with focus on quality, latency, and cost.
Elevate production engineering with security, observability, CI/CD, testing, and incident readiness.
Improve AI-native delivery with automated checks, review gates, and productivity tracking.
Own engineering cadence across tools like Linear, GitHub, Slack, and Gong; align backlog to customer needs.
Lead, mentor, and grow engineers; partner with CEO to justify headcount and tradeoffs.
