Job summary

J.S. Held is seeking a Vice President to join our Building Consulting team. This role blends entrepreneurial drive with strategic leadership and a focus on large, complex restoration losses.

The ideal candidate will lead client engagements, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and drive growth using industry tools like Xactimate, Symbility, and RS Means, while maintaining high-quality reporting and service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree; or 10 years in restoration in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in restoration/insurance with scheduling, project management, and estimating.
• Proficient with Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means or similar software.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce expert reports.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and project representatives such as adjusters and brokers.
• Schedules field inspections and site visits to evaluate scope of work/damage.
• Estimates medium to large commercial and residential projects using Xactimate.
• Documents and analyzes contracts, change orders, reports, and correspondence.
• Provides technical direction to other consultants and supports their files.
• Collaborates with Business Development Managers to develop new opportunities.
