Diversified Brokerage Services, part of NFP, is seeking a Vice President of Advanced Concepts and Training to lead expert life insurance planning strategies and regulatory insights. The role focuses on educating financial professionals, clients, and partners through technical training and persuasive communication.

The position requires a JD, 10+ years in advanced life insurance planning, and strong content development for training platforms and client solutions. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) required; advanced credentials (CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®) highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in advanced life insurance planning or similar consultative roles.
• Brokerage industry experience is a plus; ability to develop compliant, results-driven concepts.
• Deep understanding of business owner, estate, and personal life insurance planning.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven success driving advisor engagement through concept adoption and case support.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and deliver advanced life insurance planning strategies across business, estate, and personal planning contexts.
• Create and publish white papers, sales concepts, and materials on legislative/regulatory issues.
• Design and lead advisor training—both in-person and virtual.
• Partner with field leadership, advisors, and professionals to craft client-specific solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource representing the company at conferences, webinars, and client meetings.
• Monitor legislation and tax developments, interpreting impact on insurance and estate planning.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align messaging with advanced concepts and legal accuracy.
• Support and train internal team on market concepts and updates.
• Develop life cases with FAs and sales teams.
