Job summary

Progressive Turnout Project is seeking a democracyFIRST Voter Protection Deputy Director to support the national program from a remote base. You will track and lead voter protection activity across states, ensuring ballot access, turnout, and compliance with cure activities.

Availability 10:00am–6:00pm ET, with additional hours as cycles demand. The role reports to the Executive Director in a full-time, remote capacity within the Operations department.

Qualifications

• Two cycles of voter protection experience or election law experience.
• Experience producing briefing materials and tracking legal activity.
• Proven experience developing voter protection plans using field and paid strategies.
• Ability to manage several tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working across campaign departments.

Responsibilities

• Track and develop voter protection efforts across multiple states (early voting, mail-in-ballot use, day-of protection, certification/cure).
• Oversee ballot chase and cure efforts with the field team.
• Build and maintain reporting on legal/legislative activity impacting election access and administration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and National Organizing Director.
