Job summary

Welo Data is seeking a freelance remote voice direction specialist to coach performers and ensure natural, authentic performances for AI data collection projects. You will guide sessions, adapt scripts on the fly, and monitor real-time audio quality across remote sessions.

Applicants should have strong voice direction experience, mic technique knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills to support performers of varying experience levels.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in required language with a strong ear for natural phrasing.
• Experience directing, coaching, or producing voice talent.
• Ability to give clear, actionable performance direction.
• Solid knowledge of basic recording/mic technique (proximity, plosives, room noise, levels).
• Comfortable improvising and adjusting scripted material on the spot.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; build rapport with performers of varying experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct voice performers through scripted scenarios, coaching for natural delivery.
• Create scene context for performers and improvise to fill narrative gaps.
• Adapt scripted wording for natural phrasing and dialect authenticity.
• Monitor and adjust audio quality in real time: mic technique, pacing, noise, levels.
• Manage session pacing to meet targets while preserving performance quality.
• Foster a supportive, low-pressure environment for performers, including beginners.
