Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern or Counselor Trainee program (Commonwealth title or equivalent).
• Active Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRCC) certificate or eligibility with a master’s degree.
• Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, mental health, special education, social work, human services, psychology, or closely related field.
• Applicants will be considered to meet educational requirements if within 3 months of graduating.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face applicant assessments gathering disability, education, and employment history.
• Review medical and psychosocial information for eligibility evaluation of vocational rehabilitation potential.
• Develop individual plans for employment with customers and set vocational goals.
• Coordinate evaluations, planned services, counseling, and guidance throughout the process.
• Maintain case records, document updates, and perform regular follow-ups.
• Build relationships with schools, employers, and service providers to improve referrals and placement.

Education

Intern/ trainee program or related internship pathway (Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern / Counselor Trainee)

CRCC certification or eligibility with master's degree

Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field

Graduation within 3 months of degree completion
