Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor within the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Department to help individuals with disabilities achieve and maintain competitive employment.

You will coordinate services, conduct vocational assessments, design individualized plans, manage caseloads weekly, and provide guidance and placement support in a collaborative government environment.

Qualifications

• Counsel students and youth toward vocational goals using IPE.
• Communicate effectively with consumers, vendors, employers, and coworkers.
• Apply logical thinking to define problems and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist eligible individuals to achieve competitive employment.
• Coordinate assessments, career exploration, and job preparation instruction.
• Complete caseload management activities weekly.
• Perform other related duties as required.
