Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Vice President of Biometrics to lead biostatistics, clinical programming and data management within the Clinical Development portfolio.

This executive will partner with Development leaders to deliver on R&D registrational objectives and drive data strategy across trials. The role requires extensive pharma biometrics leadership, experience across therapeutic areas, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Biometrics or a Biometrics unit in pharma.
• Experience across multiple therapeutic areas and development phases.
• Line management of a multi-function organization.
• Budget management including resourcing and outsourcing.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight and scientific direction to Biometrics with emphasis on engagement and operational excellence.
• Scientific review of protocols, analysis plans, submission documents and health authority materials; engage with authorities.
• Drive Clinical Development portfolio governance and strategic direction based on science and regulatory guidance.
• Develop and lead the digital approach for clinical data, including mHealth.
• Mentor and develop biometrics talent; build a diverse, high-performing team.
