Job summary

Barnstorm VFX is seeking a VFX Supervisor for a remote-based role in the USA. You will oversee creative and technical execution, work directly with clients, and translate vision into actionable objectives for the team.

Lead production planning, budget oversight with the VFX Producer, and daily asset reviews to ensure milestones are met while maintaining strong client relationships across projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in visual effects.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with Shotgun project management software.
• Excellent knowledge of the VFX Production process from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish the overall vision for the VFX project that best meets the client’s creative and technical needs;
• Work with the VFX Producer and Executive Producer to assist with bids;
• Communicate the creative vision and translate the vision to objectives for the project team;
• Collaborate with the VFX Producer to ensure that all assigned projects have a well-defined production schedule, adequate and appropriate resources, performance targets and milestones;
• Monitor the creative process, including daily reviews of assets and shots, providing regular feedback and guidance to team members;
• Alongside the VFX Producer, regularly review project budgets and manage resources to keep projects on time and within budget;
• Ensure regular communication of status of projects and maintain an ongoing positive and collaborative working relationship with clients;
