Vendor Management Specialist I

The Vendor Management Specialist I will oversee an existing network of third-party service providers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include vendor oversight, documentation review, compliance monitoring, and communication with vendors. The role requires performing duties in accordance with company policies, investor guidelines, and applicable laws. The target pay range is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do
  • Review and assess vendor documentation for compliance and annual reviews.
  • Monitor vendor compliance documents and lifecycle activities.
  • Manage ongoing oversight of third-party vendors, escalating risks as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries and manage vendor notifications.
  • Conduct due diligence on new vendors and ensure compliance before approval.
  • Serve as point of contact for vendors and communicate updates.
  • Review FNMA/FHLMC documentation for compliance and submit for approval.
  • Coordinate vendor invoices and ensure document accuracy.
  • Address audit exceptions and track remediation efforts.
  • Support vendor communication requests and research new service providers.
  • Log consumer complaints and coordinate responses.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma/GED; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial services, mortgage, compliance, or vendor management.
  • Motivated, self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently in complex, regulated environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
