(Non-IT) Vendor Management/Third Party Risk Specialist

NASA Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Third-Party Risk Specialist II to identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party relationships. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders on risk assessments, due diligence, contract reviews, oversight, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations such as NCUA, FFIEC, PCI, SOC, etc., and safeguarding confidential information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Level I:

  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations related to financial institutions, including the BSA and OFAC.
  • Maintain knowledge of third-party risk regulations and compliance documentation requirements.
  • Support enterprise-wide due diligence, risk assessment, and oversight efforts.
  • Collaborate on tracking, measuring, reporting, and evaluating third-party risks and resiliency.
  • Assist with GRC software administration, procedures, training, and access.
  • Contribute to communications, reporting, and metrics for the Third-Party Risk Program.
  • Identify conditions for risk exceptions, document, escalate, and retain approvals.
  • Assist with contract and procurement process management.
  • Support Risk Management and other departmental functions as needed.

Level II:

  • Administer GRC software and maintain program documentation.
  • Evaluate contracts, analyze risk data, and improve procurement processes.
Education and Experience

Level I & II:

  • Minimum three years of regulatory compliance and/or third-party risk experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Financial institution experience preferred.
  • Contract work experience and relevant certifications or legal degrees are advantageous.
Personal Attributes
  • Self-motivated, independent, with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong ethics and stakeholder relationship skills.
Salary and Benefits

Salary: $72,500 - $120,000 annually. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k), paid leave, remote work options, and more, based on eligibility.
