Job summary
The Superior Group is seeking a VDC Designer/Coordinator (Remote) in the United States. This full-time role reports to the Director of VDC and offers fully remote work with nationwide eligibility.
You will prepare 2D layouts for BIM, generate installation drawings, review submittals, and coordinate with operations on projects in data centers, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial sectors. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical design, experience with 120V–15kV systems, NEC familiarity,
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as a commercial electrician or electrical engineer.
- Experience with power distribution systems 120V–15kV including switchgear & UPS.
- Ability to review electrical designs, specs and submittals.
- Background in healthcare, data centers, industrial or higher education facilities.
- Familiar with NEC and construction codes; BIM modeling tools knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling or field installation.
- Produce field installation and prefabrication drawings.
- Generate panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire data.
- Review project drawings, specs and submittals for accuracy.
- Coordinate with Project Operations on submittals & discrepancies.
- Provide QA/QC of installation drawings and BIM models.
- Support development of BIM/Layout standards and attend coordination meetings.
