Job summary

Egan is seeking a VDC Layout/Design Lead in Grand Rapids, MI to drive day-to-day development, maintenance, and coordination of project models, supporting field operations, fabrication, and project teams. You will focus on technical execution, model accuracy, clash resolution, and fabrication detailing under supervision of the VDC Coordinator and VDC Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BIM/VDC modeling, coordination and detailing in construction.
• Experience modeling MEP systems (mechanical, piping, equipment).
• Ability to read engineered drawings, P&IDs, models and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models in Revit and fabrication software.
• Coordinate trades and resolve clashes during BIM coordination.
• Produce fabrication-level models (LOD 350-400) and BOMs.
• Support field teams with model navigation and installation drawings.
• Ensure model accuracy and alignment with standards and specs.
