Job summary

Echelon Risk + Cyber is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead our vCISO Practice from anywhere in the USA. You will own client engagements, deliver high-impact cybersecurity programs, and coach junior consultants while maintaining Echelon standards.

You will lead workshops, assess controls, and develop roadmaps, collaborating with senior stakeholders and growing the practice with strategic proposals and strong governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in cybersecurity with governance, risk, and compliance.
• Experience leading client-facing engagements and delivering outcomes.
• Experience mentoring junior staff is a plus.
• Experience with risk assessments and control frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and define scope, timeline, and deliverables.
• Plan and run client workshops, risk assessments, and policy walkthroughs.
• Review security controls and develop cybersecurity policies and roadmaps.
• Grow accounts with proposals, budgets, and new opportunities.
• Coach junior consultants and maintain team quality and delivery.
• Publish thought leadership and engage with the cybersecurity community.
