Job summary

ISOutsource is seeking an experienced virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to guide clients in building stronger cybersecurity programs. You will lead risk management, governance, and compliance initiatives while shaping strategic roadmaps and ISMS implementations.

You will partner with client executives and internal teams to translate complex security concepts into actionable business recommendations, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and drive ongoing security

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technology-based field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity leadership, risk management, or compliance.
Strong knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53/800-171, CIS Controls, CMMC, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2.
Excellent communication with executive and non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel locally to client sites.

Responsibilities

Provide executive-level cybersecurity consulting and strategic guidance to clients.
Develop and manage cybersecurity roadmaps, ISMS programs, and governance structures.
Lead risk assessments, gap analyses, and steering committee discussions.
Guide clients through regulatory and contractual requirements and audits.
Support incident response planning and strategic communications during incidents.
