Job summary

ISOutsource is hiring a seasoned virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to guide clients in building stronger cybersecurity programs. You will develop roadmaps, ISMS, and governance structures while aligning with industry standards.

As a trusted advisor, you will manage risk, compliance initiatives, and strategic engagements with clients and prospects, enabling growth for both clients and our firm.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of progressive cybersecurity leadership experience.
• Proven ability to develop strategic cybersecurity roadmaps.
• Experience guiding governance, risk assessments, and compliance.
• Strong communication with executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology field.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level cybersecurity consulting and strategic guidance to clients.
• Develop and manage cybersecurity roadmaps, security programs, and ISMS.
• Lead governance, risk assessments, gap analyses, and remediation priorities.
• Guide clients through regulatory requirements (NIST, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2).
• Support audit readiness and compliance assessments.
• Advise on vulnerability management and third-party risk.
• Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises.
• Present updates to client leadership with risk priorities and recommendations.
• Partner with internal and client teams to turn strategy into action.
• Build relationships with client executives and stakeholders.
