Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States-based position. The candidate will lead multi-framework compliance programs, risk assessments, and senior advisory services for clients, partnering with executives and security teams to strengthen security programs and meet contractual obligations.

You will guide AI governance, policy development, and audit readiness, while coaching the Security & Compliance Analysts as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, information security governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of frameworks including NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001 with audits and evidence management experience.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, managing third-party/vendor risk, supporting cyber insurance assessments, and using GRC/compliance automation platforms.
• Excellent client-facing communication, analytical, and organizational skills with ability to advise executives, manage multiple engagements, and assess controls across Windows/macOS/cloud/identity environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across multiple frameworks (NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001).
• Provide vCISO advisory services, security strategy, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Oversee risk assessments, third-party risk, and vendor security due diligence.
• Guide AI governance, data protection, and emerging security risks for clients and internal teams.
• Ensure audit readiness, evidence collection, and remediation tracking across engagements.
• Coordinate with security operations for incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation.
