Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Solution Architect for Varicent to guide architecture, design, and implementation of the incentive compensation platform across teams.

You will translate complex rules into scalable, auditable solutions and influence roadmaps with product delivery leaders. This remote role spans the US (excluding Hawaii and territories) with responsibilities from data integration to reporting, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization, providing technical leadership to developers

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years designing/implementing enterprise incentive compensation solutions.
• At least 3 years hands-on Varicent development or solution architecture experience.
• SQL skills and data integration design experience.
• Ability to translate complex compensation rules into scalable designs.
• Experience with architecture, testing, deployment, and audit controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Varicent solution architecture, including data integrations, calculation logic, workflows, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Compensation Administrators, Finance, Sales Operations, Data Engineering, Payroll, HR, Internal Audit, and Tech teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain data feeds between Varicent and Snowflake and downstream systems.
• Oversee scheduler design and production processing with nightly, weekly, monthly, and annual cycles.
• Establish development standards, code reviews, testing controls, deployment procedures, and migration approvals.
• Lead technical testing and release readiness for new plans and platform changes.
• Develop end-user reports and data products showing incentive results and payroll outputs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, analysts, and delivery partners.
• Support SOX, access governance, data retention, and change-control requirements.
