Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Solution Architect for Varicent, enabling end-to-end incentive compensation architecture across the organization. The role requires hands-on design, development, and collaboration with Finance, HR, and IT teams from a remote US location.

The candidate will lead architecture, data integration with Snowflake, scheduler management, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with SOX and governance standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing/implementing enterprise incentive compensation solutions.
• At least 3 years Varicent development or architecture experience.
• SQL and data integration expertise.
• Experience translating complex compensation rules into scalable, auditable designs.
• Experience with design reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Knowledge of SDLC, DevOps, access controls, and SOX requirements.
• Strong communication to executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Varicent solution architecture, including models, data integrations, calculation logic, workflow, reporting, security, and environment strategy.
• Lead the design and hands-on development of complex Varicent ICM solutions and reports.
• Partner with admins, Finance, Sales Ops, Data Engineering, Payroll, HR, Internal Audit, and Tech teams to clarify requirements.
• Design and maintain data feeds between Varicent and Snowflake and downstream processes.
• Oversee Varicent scheduler design and production processing; monitor health and performance.
• Establish development standards, code reviews, documentation, testing controls, and deployment procedures.
• Lead testing and release readiness for new plans and platform enhancements.
• Develop end-user reports and data products for visibility into results and payroll outputs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers and analysts.
• Support SOX, access governance, data retention, and change control.
• Other duties as assigned.
