Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Solution Architect for Varicent to lead architecture, design, and optimization of the incentive compensation platform. You will translate complex compensation requirements into scalable, auditable solutions and collaborate with IT and business leaders to align roadmaps.

This remote role supports the US and territories (excluding Hawaii and US territories). You will guide developers, ensure data integrity, and drive release readiness across cycles, with a focus on SOX

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years designing and implementing enterprise incentive compensation solutions.
3+ years hands-on Varicent development or architecture experience.
Strong SQL skills and data integration design.
Ability to translate complex compensation rules into technical designs.
Experience with DevOps, source control, and SOX controls.
Excellent communication to executives and technical staff.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end Varicent solution architecture across data, calculations, and reporting.
Lead design and development of Varicent ICM components, tables, imports/exports, and reports.
Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, HR, Data Engineering, and IT to align delivery with business outcomes.
Develop data feeds between Varicent and Snowflake and other systems.
Oversee scheduler design, monitoring, and issue resolution.
Lead testing, release readiness, and production deployment.
Create end-user reports and data products for stakeholders.
Mentor developers and serve as senior escalation point.
