Life Science Connect is hiring its first dedicated UX/UI designer to partner with product and engineering to shape new experiences across web, email and our SaaS platform. You will turn briefs and rough concepts into high-fidelity designs in Figma, align with an existing design system, and ensure accessible, responsive handoffs to developers.

You'll work remotely 22–28 hours weekly initially as a contract, with a plan to move to a full-time role in 2027.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional UX/UI design experience.
• Portfolio showing work in two areas: B2B SaaS/web apps and content/media or email design.
• Strong Figma skills, including working inside a design system.
• Responsive design and developer handoff.
• Working knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.x AA).

Responsabilités

• Partner with product to brainstorm and shape new experiences for readers and customers.
• Turn requirements and rough prototypes into wireframes and high-fidelity Figma designs across desktop, tablet and mobile, with all states.
• Present options and iterate with the PM through multiple review rounds.
• Work within the existing design system and reuse/build components in Storybook/Chromatic.
• Spec designs for developers including layout, type, color tokens, interactions and accessibility.
• Answer developer questions and review pages against the designs before release.
• Use AI tools to move faster and help the team adopt them.
