Job summary

UNICEF is seeking a seasoned Drupal/UX engineer to design and prototype a global CAMH accountability platform. You will gather requirements, craft information architecture, and build accessible, component-based interfaces using Drupal and Bootstrap.

You will contribute to multilingual theming, develop modules, and support CI/CD pipelines with Behat, Travis CI, or Jenkins. The contract runs 15 November 2026 to 14 November 2027, remote from Nairobi, with deliverable-based milestones and future

Qualifications

Experience designing clean, sharp visual design sensibilities.
Ability to gather design and functional requirements.
Knowledge of information architecture and accessibility standards.
Familiarity with agile workflows and issue trackers.

Responsibilities

Design and develop the prototype for the UNICEF-WHO CAMH Accountability Mechanism.
Collect requirements and define information architecture and UX for the platform.
Apply atomic design and component-based theming for clean interfaces.
Design Drupal themes with Bootstrap, WCAG AA, and multilingual support.
Extend or create Drupal modules and implement Drupal 9/8 sites with multilinguals.
Use Jira, VSTS, GitHub; work in git-based repositories.
Set up automated testing with Behat and CI with Travis CI or Jenkins.
Manage hosting on Acquia or Pantheon and provide ongoing MHPSS support.
