Job summary

Lucet is seeking an Utilization Management Clinician to review authorization requests and coordinate behavioral health services for members across the United States. This full-time, remote position focuses on medical necessity determinations and discharge planning while supporting a wide network of providers.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, adherence to standards, and collaboration with families and providers to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Has a current, unrestricted license issued by a state or territory of the United States to practice independently as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, professional counselor, clinical psychologist, or registered nurse.
• Minimum of two years of direct clinical care experience with patients in facility based and/or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
• Ability to pass background check and related screenings.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete initial and concurrent authorization requests for the provider network.
• Conduct behavioral health utilization reviews to support level-of-care determinations.
• Coordinate care with members, families, providers, and clients to facilitate access to services and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation and comply with regulatory standards, using clinical systems and ongoing professional development.
