Job summary

Humana seeks a Utilization Management Behavioral Health Professional to coordinate and document determinations, supporting optimal care for members. The role reports to the Behavioral Health Manager within the UM Team.

Responsibilities include using clinical knowledge, coordinating with providers, and aligning with department strategy while following guidelines. You must reside in Louisiana, be licensed, and work 40 hours weekly CST, with possible overtime and weekend/on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Master's level clinician with independent licensure in Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC).
• 1+ year of managed care experience.
• Familiarity with MCG and ASAM criteria.
• Proficient in electronic information systems and MS Office.
• Clear narrative documentation and strong interpersonal skills.
• 40-hour work week CST with potential overtime/weekend rotation.
• Must reside in Louisiana and work within the state.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking to interpret criteria and procedures for best care.
• Coordinate and communicate with providers and members to facilitate treatment.
• Understand department and organizational strategy and linkages.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures.
