Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is seeking a Utility Field Application Engineer for a home-based role within 50 miles of Franklin, MA; Syracuse, NY; Clifton Park, NY; Rochester, NY or Windsor, CT. You will lead design, development and validation of Eaton products, providing technical leadership to sales engineers and customers.

The role includes conducting product seminars, supporting major projects, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and seven years in electrical industry sales or engineering.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to travel up to 50% within territory.
• PE license preferred; understands power distribution products and systems.
• Strong communication and project leadership for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Call on electrical engineers and utility consultants to position Eaton products.
• Support major projects with submittals, drawings and customer interfacing.
• Conduct product seminars and trainings for end users, distributors and sales engineers.
• Assist with design-build opportunities and project quotations.
• Arrange customer factory visits, inspections and witness tests.
• Travel up to 50% to support customers and projects.
