Job summary

Cargill seeks an Utilities Lead to oversee maintenance and reliability of plant utility systems across multiple North American locations. This remote role requires partnering with site teams and coordinating energy, water, steam, ammonia refrigeration, and related systems to ensure safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

You will lead planning, audits, and capital projects, mentor utilities staff, and travel up to 50% to sites such as Dodge City KS and others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of related work experience.
• A minimum of 4 years hands-on operator/ technician experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Process Safety Management experience.
• Ability to travel at least 50%.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Influence and mentor utilities teams providing recommendations for skills improvements and preparedness for high pressure decision-making.
• Plan and schedule maintenance of plant utility systems using reliability models and predictive technologies.
• Assess and recommend upgrades to existing systems as needed; monitor and manage utility and energy costs.
• Plan and monitor production shutdowns ensuring legal and preventive maintenance compliance of all utility equipment.
• Partner with Capital Leads to align on budget for non-base capital investments.
