Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a skilled USDA loan closing specialist to manage closings from approval to funding. You will coordinate with borrowers, guarantors, counsel, brokers, and USDA representatives to ensure compliant and timely closings.

You will review documentation, align with internal policies, and work with legal counsel to finalize loan packages while meeting USDA requirements. This role offers a hybrid work model and broad exposure to government-guaranteed lending.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of related experience.
• 2–3 years of Government Guaranteed Lending closing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage pipeline of USDA loan closings from approval through funding.
• Identify, collect, review, and validate closing documentation.
• Coordinate with internal partners to facilitate timely closings.
• Prepare and finalize loan documentation with counsel, ensuring USDA requirements.
• Monitor closing timelines and address delays to meet service levels.
• Review approvals and ensure closing documents reflect approved credit.
• Act as liaison during closing, provide status updates and escalate risks.
• Ensure collateral, title, and insurance requirements are completed prior to funding.
• Support post-closing delivery and loan sale processes.
• Develop relationships with customers, USDA personnel, attorneys, and partners.
• Assist training and process improvement in USDA lending operations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
