Job summary

TransPerfect is recruiting native English (US) speakers for the Gardenia Speech Collection project. This fully remote, independent contractor role requires recording wake-up phrases and scripted utterances to improve voice assistant technologies.

Eligible participants must be 18+, reside in the United States, speak English (US) natively, and have access to a quiet space and suitable recording gear. Compensation is $25 USD per fully completed and accepted asset, with PayPal, Gift Card, or Check

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Be born and live in the United States.
• Be native speaker of English (US) from any region in the United States.
• Be able to use a mobile phone for this project.
• Be able to use a wired headset or the device microphone for recording phrases.
• Have access to a quiet indoor environment to do the recordings.
• Pass initial accent screening.

Responsibilities

• Record short wake-up phrases and scripted utterances for interactions with a voice assistant.
• Upload a short sample voice recording at the end of the application form as part of accent assessment.
• Submit completed and accepted assets; be prepared for QA checks and feedback.
