Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in US indirect tax compliance/consulting.
• CPA (optional).
• Solid understanding of Excel.
• Data-backed analytical capabilities.
• Ability to create clear documentation and work-papers.
• Strong prioritization and multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
• Experience leading/managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Directing a team of tax professionals, driving execution across tax compliance, reporting, and strategy while fostering continuous professional development
• Liaising with external tax service providers, ensuring compliance, managing audits/controversy, exploring tax incentives, and improving tax technology use cases
• Conducting tax research for US indirect tax topics (Bloomberg)
• Interacting with tax authorities to resolve notices and/or information requests and analyzing tax accounts and reconciliations
• Interacting with other Finance teams to support tax-related financial operations
• Reviewing indirect tax compliance and approving EFTs to pay taxes due
• Reviewing exemption certificates to ensure correct tax payments
• Adopting and contributing to best practice guidelines to drive process improvements
