Job summary

Prisma Health UC by Wellstreet, LLC is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician for APP oversight in a fully remote role, with the requirement to reside in South Carolina. The position involves clinical consultation, case review, and continuous support for APPs across assigned centers.

Qualifications

• Must physically reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to APPs during assigned periods, including via phone or approved methods when not onsite.
• Review and cosign APP documentation as required by law and policy.
• Provide guidance for evaluations, treatment plans, and escalation to higher care when needed.
• Support orientation and ongoing supervision for newly credentialed APPs.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities related to APP practice.
• Maintain practice within the physician’s supervising scope and prescriptive authority.
