Job summary

Pok Pok, a small, mission-driven studio known for Apple Design Award recognition, seeks a Unity Developer for a six-month contract (with potential extension). The role is remote with a preference for Eastern Time overlap and optional weekly studio presence.

You will work on existing toys and shared systems, implement features and seasonal content, optimize performance, and collaborate with designers, artists, QA, and the development team from implementation to testing and release.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional Unity and C# development experience.
• Shipped Unity apps on mobile platforms with iOS, Android, and Amazon build processes.
• Experience optimizing Unity projects for mobile performance.
• Familiarity with Firebase integration and data persistence in Unity.
• Proven experience building Unity Editor tools and custom inspectors.
• Ability to work across designers, artists, and QA in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, modular C# scripts and build 2D, interactive gameplay systems in Unity.
• Implement features, seasonal content, and events across existing toys.
• Contribute to shared systems like user profiles and content customization.
• Build, test, and release across iOS, Android, and Amazon stores.
• Integrate Firebase, analytics, remote config, and third-party SDKs.
• Diagnose and fix crashes and progression blockers on mobile.
• Optimize memory, loading, rendering, and performance on devices.
• Develop Unity Editor tools and asset processing utilities.
• Participate in code reviews, estimates, testing, and release prep.
