Premera Blue Cross is seeking an Underwriting Manager to lead a high-performing team and shape underwriting strategy in a remote role. You will combine people leadership, strategic insight, and underwriting expertise to strengthen operations and support key priorities across the organization.

This telecommuter position offers the chance to guide pricing, contracting, and risk management while partnering with sales and other departments to drive informed, profitable decisions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or 4 years of work experience.
• 5+ years of underwriting, regulatory, or health insurance consulting experience.
• Previous underwriting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deploy management monitoring reports for tracking financial and membership positions and contract and fulfillment production.
• Manage underwriting, pricing, and/or contracting activities to meet risks and profit objectives.
• Manage underwriting processes to meet or exceed turnaround goals and objectives.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, and training to build core underwriting competency and manage performance appraisal.
• Oversee budget process for assigned cost center(s).
• Serve as primary internal contact for underwriting policy information.
• Support sales and account management in internal and external presentations and negotiations.
• Develop pricing data and contract generation systems.
• Assist senior management in sustaining long-term policies and procedures.
• Monitor data from internal departments for content, accuracy, and problem solving.
