Premera Blue Cross is seeking an Underwriting Manager to lead a high-performing team and shape underwriting strategy from a remote home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field of study, or (4) years of work experience.
• (5) years of underwriting, regulatory, or health insurance consulting experience.
• Previous underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy management reports to track financial and membership positions.
• Manage underwriting, pricing, and contracting activities to meet risk and profit goals.
• Lead recruiting, hiring, and training to build high-quality underwriting teams.
• Oversee budget process for assigned cost centers per guidelines.
• Support sales and account management with information and negotiations.
• Maintain pricing data and contract generation systems.
• Monitor data quality and resolve content issues.
