Job summary

SRK Consulting is seeking an Underground and Open Pit Mining Engineer for a remote opportunity in the United States. The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of post-graduate experience in underground mining and mine planning, with proficiency in Deswik, Datamine, MineSight and Vulcan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years' post-graduate industry experience in underground mining, mine planning, and preferably with a diverse range of commodities.
• Proficiency with mine planning and optimization tools (Deswik, Datamine, MineSight, Vulcan).
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other technical specialists.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project management support for scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
• Prepare technical deliverables, budgeting and scheduling.
• Interface with clients to provide operational advice.
• Perform due diligence and independent reporting projects.
• Engage in business development and development of SRK's engineering practices.
