Job summary

Exodigo is seeking a Field Operator – Traditional Locator to support growth in underground mapping. You will operate proprietary discovery tools, identify subsurface assets, and apply established locating methods across diverse sites.

This role requires travel across the United States, with a 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, and potential night shifts. Remote work option is California-based; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in traditional utility locating/SUE field operations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in field work.
• Willingness to travel domestically across the US (up to 100%).
• Excellent English communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with underground locating equipment and related tech.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground discovery tools using carts and drone systems.
• Identify underground assets with multiple sensing technologies.
• Apply traditional locating methods (EM locating, GPR, etc.).
• Resolve on-site operational issues with R&D and operations teams.
• Document interactions and site data in company software.
• Collaborate with a global team to advance project objectives.
