Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in the United States is seeking a UI Engineering Lead to implement responsive and stable UI systems in Unreal 5, guiding the UX vision of the Design team and collaborating with a cross-disciplinary squad to build a new franchise at teamLFG.

You will hire, mentor, and lead engineers, work with players and developers, and help deliver production-quality UI tooling and workflows while aligning with a mission-focused team committed to delightful user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining C++ code for games.
• Experience leading engineers and mentoring team members.
• Experience building and maintaining UXUI systems from HUDs to localization workflows.
• Strong collaboration with designers and developers across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• With minimal oversight, build and maintain production-quality UI systems, workflows, and tools in C++ on Unreal 5.
• Directly hire, manage and lead engineers within the UI subdiscipline, providing mentorship and career development coaching.
• Provide technical guidance in UXUI systems for teammates across gameplay disciplines.
• Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build new player experiences.
