Job summary

Escape Velocity is seeking a UI Engineer to join our fully remote studio. You will collaborate with Design, Animation, and Audio to develop, write, implement, and debug UI code for an unannounced project, delivering polished interfaces that perform well on multiple platforms.

You will work with a small, passionate team to ensure gameplay systems meet technical requirements, test features, and comply with coding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience developing games professionally and shipping AAA titles.
• Strong C++ skills and ability to architect gameplay mechanics and tools.
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with art, design, and sound to implement the UI.
• Write, implement, and debug UI code for the project.
• Follow coding standards and participate in testing activities.
• Research techniques to stay current on game industry developments.
• Identify risks and devise solutions to overcome obstacles.
