Job summary

Stride, Inc. is recruiting a part-time TVI contractor to support students with visual impairments in a virtual setting. The role is remote and requires state licensure in Visual Impairments, plus a minimum of two years public school experience.

The Contractor will work within 8am-5pm hours and report to the IEP team. The position emphasizes individualized instruction, collaboration with families and school staff, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in public school environment as a TVI.
• Certifications and Licenses: State educator license in Visual Impairments or related field.
• Ability to work independently and manage a part-time schedule.
• Experience teaching in an online/virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide services as determined by the IEP team.
• Communicate with parents and teachers to schedule attendance and participation.
• Develop progress reports and state-specific documentation.
• Use assistive technology and accessible texts to support students.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Serve as Teacher of Record for assigned caseload.
• Deliver engaging, personalized learning experiences.
• Establish positive rapport with families and staff.
