Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Software Developer (Backend) to support USAF mission objectives with back-end design, API development, and data modeling. Emphasis on DevSecOps, microservices, containers, and cloud deployments. Strong collaboration across teams to deliver secure, scalable services.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, experience in AWS/Kubernetes, relational databases, and enterprise integrations. Travel up to 10–20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent back-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development/communication, and system integrations.
• 3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
• DCWF Code: 632 Intermediate.
• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly required.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
