Job summary

Resend is seeking a Software Engineer, Trust & Safety to build anti-abuse systems in a fully remote Americas/European time zones role. You will develop real-time enforcement, detection pipelines, and automated actions to keep Resend open for good senders.

Expect work on ML/LLM-based detection, audit trails, and observability. Travel for offsites and conferences is possible, with compensation in the $150,000–$175,000 USD range depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Fluent in writing and speaking English.
• Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React (Hono, Next.js).
• Write Go for latency-sensitive services.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the real-time enforcement layer with millisecond latency budgets.
• Design pipelines from signal to decision to action across sending, receiving and account activity.
• Build detection rules and policies, safe to change and auditable.
• Detect and contain account takeover and leaked API keys without locking out owners.
• Close the feedback loop with traceable decisions and measurable precision.
