Job summary

eXp World Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Trust Accountant to record and report transactions across multiple trust accounts under the Trust Accounting Supervisor. The role ensures compliance with state regulatory requirements and performs daily balance analyses with deadlines.

You will backup other accountants, participate in special projects, and collaborate with state brokers, agents, and banks. A degree and 2 years of finance experience are required, with real estate exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proven experience with bank reconciliations.
• 1+ years of experience in the Real Estate industry (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Highly organized and proactive with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and precision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (intermediate).
• Knowledge of SkySlope transaction management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and accurately record trust account transactions across multiple accounts.
• Research discrepancies and resolve items promptly while ensuring escheatment compliance.
• Process daily cash movement requests, including wires, checks and other disbursements.
• Record escrow-related transactions across platforms in collaboration with brokers, agents, and banks.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with trust reports and analyses.
• Contribute to process improvements and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Coordinate with accounting, operations, and legal teams to ensure accurate financial records.
• Attend weekly meetings to stay aligned with trust-related activities and requirements.
• Provide backup support to other accountants and participate in special Treasury Operations projects.
