Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience with grants management, financial accounting including account reconciliation, governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts payable processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to client service across multiple channels.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines; works independently and prioritizes.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and build trusted relationships; willingness to travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to decision makers.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Works with clients to understand practices, identify improvements, and help define new processes and updated policies.
• Performs project start-up activities, adheres to schedules, and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and helps prepare for audits.
• Assists in growing the practice and collaborates with the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, trainings, or conferences.
