Job summary

Bernard Law Injury Lawyers is seeking a Trial Attorney to join our remote team handling PNW client matters and court engagements. The role focuses on drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, and actively participating in trials.

The ideal candidate has a JD and is admitted to the Washington bar, strong advocacy skills, and is highly organized and persistent. Flexible schedule and remote work available.

Qualifications

• JD required and WA bar admission.
• Civil litigation or personal injury experience is a plus.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Highly organized and persistent.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings (complaints, motions, oppositions).
• Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions.
• Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in Court.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pre-arbitration, arbitration, pre-trial documents and trial materials.
• Active participation in trial.
• Strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence to work up case file.
• Draft mediation briefs and attend mediation, negotiate settlements.
• Regular client communication.
• Assist in management of litigation assistants and paralegals.
• Attend regular trainings for professional development.
