Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Traveling Safety Representative to oversee safety on HDD/open-cut pipeline projects across the United States. This field leadership role identifies hazards, coaches crews, and ensures regulatory compliance to protect workers, the public, and the environment.

You will lead daily safety meetings, conduct incident investigations, verify PPE use, and coordinate with operations to integrate safety into day-to-day field activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety for pipeline HDD/Open-cut operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and PHMSA pipeline safety standards.
• Experience conducting trenching/excavation/ confined-space investigations.
• Willing to travel across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HDD and open cut activities for safety compliance.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met across crews and subcontractors.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning sessions.
• Lead incident investigations with operations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
