Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Traveling Safety Representative for HDD/open-cut pipeline projects across the United States. You will provide field safety leadership, coach crews, and ensure regulatory compliance to protect employees, equipment, the public, and the environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of safety experience, OSHA/PHMSA knowledge, and trenching expertise. Travel nationwide with company vehicle, lodging, and travel expense support provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of safety experience in HDD/open-cut pipeline projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and PHMSA pipeline safety standards.
• Experience conducting trenching, excavation, and confined-space investigations.
• Ability to travel extensively across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily HDD and open cut activities for safety compliance.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met across crews and subcontractors.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning sessions.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions with operations.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
