Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time trauma data coder to abstract injury diagnoses and procedures from multiple sources using AIS and ICD-10 guidelines. You will apply NTDS standards, Georgia DPH definitions, and register trauma data accurately.

Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting QA and education activities related to trauma registries within a GA-based role that allows remote work with residency in the state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year hospital/physician practice experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and abstract injury diagnoses and procedures per AIS and ICD-10.
• Apply NTDS, Georgia DPH and facility data definitions accurately.
• Identify events, complications, and comorbidities per NTDS and state rules.
• Maintain data confidentiality and meet productivity goals.
